Let’s not pretend it didn’t happen, because it did. I abandoned my blog for a few months, and I feel awful about it. But the good news is that, I’m here and I want to start blogging regularly again. I sincerely apologise for my absence, and I hope you can forgive me.
As the first post back after a long hiatus, it felt fitting to blog about my favourite makeup brand NARS.
NARS’ latest limited edition collection is a collaboration with photographer Steven Klein. This collection has so many beautiful pieces and I wanted them all, however my wallet had other plans, so I decided with just the cheek palette.
I got the One Shocking Moment Cheek Palette for $100AUD on the Mecca website, but they are also available in Mecca Maxima and Mecca Cosmetica stores.
This palette comes with the Paloma highlighter/contour duo, Laguna bronzer, and four blushes; Robotic, Blasphemy, Luster & Dolce Vita. Two of the blushes (Robotic & Blasphemy) are exclusive to this palette, while all other shades are part of the permanent range. The packaging is gorgeous, as I love how intense the image is, yet it’s also very minimalist. I must say, NARS Limited Edition packaging has been so on point in the last few years!
This isn’t going to be a full review as I haven’t used them long enough to give a detailed opinion, but I wanted to share with you the swatches in case you wanted to get this palette while you still can. NARS Limited Edition tend to sell out pretty quickly!
After swatching this palette, I must say that I’m very impress (no surprises there), with all the shades in this palette. I know some people will be disappointed that Laguna is used, but I don’t mind, as I love the shade!
I think this palette is definitely something worth investing in.
Let me know in the comments below what you think of this palette and if you have any questions.
Until we meet again, stay beautiful.

I fear robotic will look ashy on my darker-medium olive skintone! Also wonder if the contour will show up at all! What do you think!? And I always like ur posts on insta…. 🙂

I think it actually will be a bit ashy on you =(.
The contour is a perfect share for me but I have light-medium skin tone. This palette does have other shades that will definitely suit darker skin tones though! Blasphemy and Dolce Vita are both beautiful blushes that would suit you!
Also, thank you for the compliment on my insta =)
