I was fortunate enough to attend the Mecca Cosmetica NARS event, in which Monsieur François Nars was in attendance. This event was held on Tuesday the 17th of November at Mecca Cosmetica Toorak Road, Melbourne.

As I arrived at Mecca Cosmetica, I saw a small queue forming outside. Being in the queue had it’s perks, as I got to meet a few fellow NARSissists, Laura and Sarah, both incredibly lovely ladies I must add.
The queue moved quickly and before I knew it, I was inside. We were greeted with bubbly and canapés, which lasted throughout the night.
NARS x Steven Klien collection was displayed around the store along with the core NARS collection.
Fellow beauty bloggers, Ash, Ashley and Natalia were also at this event and I spent a lot of time getting to know them. I love it when these events bring people together that have similar interest.

I had a $50 credit** and was indecisive about what I should get, as this product will be signed by Monsieur NARS.
I contemplated the “An Abnormal Female Bullet Lip Pencil Set” for a good 20 mins and then I found the NARS candles, beautifully sitting by the far end table.
Now I had bigger issues, I loved all three of the candles available. I contemplated a while further and decided on Jaipur, which looks amazing and smells absolutely divine. This candle retails for $72AUD.

As I lined up with the girls awaiting our turn to meet Monsieur NARS, I got very nervous. I had no idea what I was going to say to him, after all he is the creator of my favourite brand.
When it was my turn to speak with Monsieur Nars, I just mumbled words at him and I’m not entirely sure what I said. He in turn was utterly charming and complimentary.

This was definitely a very special moment for me as I got to meet the man behind this iconic brand. However looking back, I feel embarrassed and disappointed in myself, as I should have asked him questions or said something or anything that was more meaningful.
I guess this was my lesson, and I now know that I must always be prepared for next time.

Leaving the event, we were gifted with the NARS Audacious Mascara and Kohliner, which I’m pretty excited about as I haven’t tried either of these products before.

Overall, I’m extremely happy that I was able to attend this event to meet Monsieur NARS, and a big thank you to Mecca Cosmetica for hosting such a wonderful event.
I hope that I will be able to attend many more events like this in the future.
