Welcome to my third and final post of my Quarter One Favourites!
I know, I know, how dare I call this quarter one favourites, when we are already in June! But hey, better late than never right? 🙂
So, this post is all about the makeup products that I’ve been really enjoying these last few months and have worked well for me.
As you know, I try to use natural and organic products where possible, however I just haven’t found any natural makeup that are decent, let alone have something to rave about. So, unlike my skincare, bodycare and haircare favourites, all my makeup are mainstream.
Find out what other items I’ve been loving;
Part One – Skincare and Bodycare favourites here.
Part Two – Haircare & Nailcare favourites here.
Benefit They’re Real Mascara
I’ve been using this mascara on and off for years. You see, it’s a love/hate relationship. But overall, it’s a fabulous, perfect for everyday, without looking clumpy or being overly dramatic.
This is available at Myer for $42AUD.
Maybelline Colossal Go Extreme Leather Black Mascara*
I prefer a non waterproof formula, as I see no point in waterproof (hello, I’m not going swimming anytime soon…) plus, this one stays put all day on my lashes.
This mascara adds volume and separates my lashes perfectly, giving it a very dramatic look. I did find the brush does takes a bit of time to get use to, but after that, very easy to use.
This is available at Priceline for $19.95AUD.
TooFace Chocolate Bar Palette
I always gravitate towards this palette as it smells utterly delicious, oh so good. The shades are all very neutral and the formula can be easily blended. A definite must in the makeup collection.
This is available at Mecca for $72AUD.
Stila In the Light Palette
I’ve had this palette for ages, but never gravitated towards it, I blame the mediocre packaging. But seriously, I have nothing but good things to say about this . It may possibly be my HG eye shadow palette! Yep, it’s THAT good.
Unfortunately, this palette is no longer available, however a similar palette is Stila Eyes Are The Window Shadow Palette in Mind.
Maybelline Brow Satin Duo*
I’m always up for quick and easy brow products and I have been loving this one.
I use the pencil to define and the powder to fill in the gaps.
This is available at Priceline for $16.95AUD.
Maybelline Hyper Sharp Wing Liquid Liner*
The tip of this liner is pointed but flat, making it easy to create a thick or thin line. I find the precision on this is amazing, and at a very affordable price point. This liner stays on all day without smudging, and can be easily removed with micellar water.
This is available at Priceline for $17.95AUD.
L’Oreal True Match Foundation*
This foundation has been my go-to for everyday wear, event wear, night out wear, just my everything really.
It provides just the right amount of dewiness and coverage. I have nothing bad to say about this foundation, as I love everything about it.
This is available at Priceline for $29.95AUD.
Maybelline FitMe Foundation*
I wear this foundation when I’m after a semi-matte finish, I also love that it’s very long wearing and lasts all day. Plus this is an amazing product for the price point.
This is available at Priceline for $19.95AUD.
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hr Blush in Exposed
I love that this blush has a matte finish. It’s very natural on the cheeks and you can wear it sheer or build it up for a more dramatic look.
This is available at Sephora for $38AUD.
NARS blush in Deep Throat
The name cracks me up every time…
This is a warm peachy shade with a hint of pink and a golden shimmer. I like wearing this when I want a bit more shimmer to my cheeks.
This is available at Mecca for $44AUD.
Becca Afterglow Palette
I love using Moonstone as a highlight and Flowerchild as a blush
I have a detailed post in regards to this palette. See post here.
NARS One Shocking Moment Palette
I use Laguna bronzer everyday and rotate the blushes.
I have a detailed post in regards to this palette. See post here.
L’Oreal Color Riche Lipstick in 378 Velvet Rose
A great everyday shade that doesn’t require a mirror for application. It’s a nude pink, that adds some colour and shine to your lips without the tackiness.
This is available at Priceline for $21.95AUD.
Kiko Intensely Lavish Lipstick in 01
This is my HG lipstick. It’s the perfect shade for me. I used it constantly, and dread the day it ends. It’s perfect in every way. Pity it’s a limited edition. Lucky my good friend Hannie gave me a spare!
Unfortunately this is no longer available.
L’Oreal Lip Gloss in 110 I Got The Power*
This gloss is definitely a “my lips but better” type of thing. I have a detailed post in regards to this lip gloss. See post here.
NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Luxemboug
It’s a great statement lip shade. I have a detailed post in regards to this lip pencil. See post here.
Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick in 107
This is such a gorgeous berry-red shade and it’s the perfect dark lip for me. It’s long wearing and has a matte finish which isn’t drying.
This is available at Priceline for $12.95AUD.
Share with me your makeup favourites from the past few months, I’d love to know what you’ve been loving.
Until we meet again, stay beautiful.

It’s always good to have a shopping list ready, for when there’s a sale.
You’ll know exactly what to get!

I had a little sample of the Benefit They’re Real! but I didn’t love it – kind of want to give it another go, though! Also trying to convince myself I DON’T need another palette… but I think I’m going to have to buy NARS One Shocking Moment, that looks amazing!

Oh, I find that people either LOVE or HATE They’re Real, there’s no inbetween! I say it’s definitely worth another try!
Also, if you can get your hands on the NARS palette, do so! If not, they currently have one that’s similar out!

You’ve just reminded me that I too am late in posting my monthly favourites. Oops.
I picked myself up the Chocolate Bar palette just over a month ago and I am so incredibly in love. I’m also obsessed with Maybelline’s Matte + Poreless foundation nowadays. 🙂
Great picks!
