I must admit, I don’t know much about Matte Liquid Lipsticks, as I’ve always been a (traditional) lipstick type of girl. So when I got my hands on the Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquids, I was ecstatic, new lippies to play with!
There are 8 shades available here in Australia and they range from your daily wearable nudes to your outright bold colours.

The formula on these are very mousse like and feel comfortable to wear, unlike other liquid lipsticks on the market that tend to dry out my lips. I do want to point out that even though the name states “matte” these do not provide a completely matte finish, which I quite like actually.

The colour payoff is opaque and leaves a semi-matte finish. I found them to be moisturising, and with the doe foot applicator, very easy to apply, however they only last about 3 hours, or until I start eating or drinking and they do transfer.

Personally, I am loving 05 Nude Flush and 35 Rebel Red.
05 Nude Flush is a gorgeous rosey nude shade that is perfect for everyday wear.
35 Rebel Red is a gorgeous red shade, that will make you standout from the crowd.

These retail for $17.95 and can be found at Priceline, and anywhere that stocks Maybelline.

Overall, I highly recommend these liquid lipsticks, as they provide beautiful bold colour without drying out the lips. However, if you’re after a completely matte finish, these might not be for you.
