Book Review: You Had Me At Hola by Alexis Daria

Synopsis

Jasmine and Ashton are cast as the leads in a romantic comedy for the number one streaming service, believes that this is the perfect opportunity to prove themselves; Jasmine, wanting people to be interested in her as an actress and not for who she’s dating and Ashton, wanting to make the leap from Telenovela Star to Hollywood Star before it’s too late.

However, to make it work, they’ll need to generate smoking-hot on-screen chemistry. Easier said than done.

So, with their careers on the line, Jasmine and Ashton agree to rehearse in private. But rehearsal leads to kissing, and kissing leads to a behind-the-scenes romance worthy of a soap opera. While their on-screen performance improves, the media spotlight on Jasmine soon threatens to destroy her new image and expose Ashton’s most closely guarded secret.

My thoughts:

Oh this book was really fun to read, perfect for rom-com lovers, which you know I am! There was soooooo much chemistry between Jasmine and Ashton, damn it was HOT.

I also I loved that we followed Jasmine and Ashton’s TV characters, so we got to read two different storylines that linked together very well.

My only annoyance, was that as much as I loved the Spanish that added spice to the story, there wasn’t always an English translation that followed… but hey google translate came to the rescue, so it’s not that big of a deal.

PS. I’m obsessed with the cover, it’s sooooooooo stunning!
